When mountains call, you need to go

Ride in the Mountains - Ride in the rain : MotoNoid

Things get pretty dull in the cities, with same old life - You wake up, you go for work, come home and rest only to go to office again the next day.

Well yes it is important to work and lead a normal life but it is equally important to travel, Work is worship to feed your tummy but travelling is a bliss to feed your soul.

Days go by,you sit for a miracle to take place in your life! only failing to realize, you yourself can be the change you want to be.

So with lots of waste thoughts poring into my mind with respect to how future would turn out to be I was wasting my present, So I decided to make a promise to myself never to think about future from here on and just live in the present.

Travelling is something I always wanted to do but lack of motivation and interest in life kept me away from it and one day all changed, I decided to be the change I wanted to see.

And then...

Ride to highest peak in KA happened.

Organized by John - Owner of BB this ride was the best thing that could happen to me a ride full of adventure.

I knew for the first time what adrenaline feels like, Packed my bags and got  my gear ready to head and bike all cleaned up and serviced to go out for this awesome trip.

The next day I started from home at around 3:00 AM and was almost the first one to reach the meeting point, butterflies in my stomach again! Not that I had never been on a ride but this was after a lot of lows that I was able to bounce back.

Soon the group of 30 bikers slowly join in at the meeting point and we leave exactly at 5:30-5:45 to head out to an awesome journey

This below pic was near a breakfast stop that we had.

After which I started facing console issues with my bike which was stopping almost every 5 miles or so, later I realized the guy who washed my bike had used a pressure force water spray on the electronics of the bike causing this to short circuit and bike to stall, but it was not much of a trouble the water dried and bike was a charm again, Rode for almost 370 Kms to our destination that was in Chikmangalur, but we stopped near a place called Ayyanakere.

After which we did not stop any where and headed straight to Chikmagalur, I must saying nothing like riding a 2 wheeler in beautiful scenic nature and it's twisty roads.

That is when I realized happiness is not in reaching the destination it is in the way towards the destination.

Few stills on the way -

Who knew my this trip would end up even coming in the news papers - The Hindu

This was the best moment of the life, A story for me to tell my grand children :D lol

Climbing the Mullyengiri peak was a different experience, it was raining all the way from Chikmangalur to Mullyengiri and we were all ready for the rain gods to shower us geared up with rain gear and I did not get wet - Quechua rain gears are pretty reliable :)

Climbing the ghat section was a hassle as the roads were not good but since we had dumped our luggage in the rooms it was a easy.

Bikers from the top of the peak -

It was raining heavily and we could not remove our helmets in such cold area, we were literally able to touch the clouds and experience rain horizontally falling on us.

This trip filled my soul and decided to never give up on this sport. Motorcycling is surely and expensive sport until you have to buy all the required things, but once you got it all trust me it is not that expensive at all :D

So the day we stayed at Spectrum Home stay pretty good one to stay and good food as well.
Had a campfire session and then headed back to sleep only to realize we missed the morning ride to Gallikere as we had office the next day and had to make it to Bangalore in time before dark.

So all in all the experience I had was blissful and this is were I got idea to start MotoVlogs, Now I know there are already bunch out there and I am starting this pretty late but hey better late than never :)

Destination can never be called life, It is the road that fill up empty spaces in your life.

Keep riding fellas, Ride long Ride Safe. - MotoNoid
